THE SCALEENABLER NONPROFIT PORTAL
AI could profoundly expand what nonprofit organisations can achieve.
ScaleEnabler intends to apply advanced AI capability to selected nonprofit organisations on a pro bono basis — helping organisations explore practical ways to extend their capacity, strengthen services and direct more human effort toward their mission.
The opportunity is bigger than automation.
Nonprofits often pursue enormous social, community, health, environmental and educational missions with constrained resources. Advanced AI creates the possibility of increasing organisational capacity without requiring equivalent growth in human resources.
That means more than reducing administration. AI may improve access to organisational knowledge, support staff and volunteers, strengthen service delivery, prepare information and communications, help organisations respond to enquiries, improve analysis and decision support, and identify emerging needs, risks or opportunities. It can help scarce leadership and professional capacity concentrate on judgement, relationships, mission and impact.
A SIGNAL OF THE OPPORTUNITY
The scale of AI’s potential in the nonprofit sector is becoming difficult to ignore.
In a recent discussion with ScaleEnabler, the Chief Marketing Officer of one of Australia’s largest nonprofit organisations described AI as potentially the biggest phenomenon in the history of the sector, and said the organisation intended to embrace it to the greatest extent possible. This paraphrased observation reinforced our view of the opportunity ahead.
